Creating a Report and Pushing Data to IO

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This article shows you how to send the facts captured in a meeting note or fact find into a client's Intelliflo fact find, and what to expect on the review screen.

Nothing moves to Intelliflo on its own. After a report finishes, you open a review screen, check every proposed change against the value already in Intelliflo, and confirm section by section. Only what you confirm is written back.

Before you begin

  • Your own Intelliflo account must be connected under Tools & Settings, then Integrations. The connection belongs to the user, so a colleague's connection does not cover you.
  • The client must have been added from Intelliflo, not created by hand. A client linked to Intelliflo shows the Intelliflo icon next to their name on the Clients page.
  • You need a finished report for that client: a meeting note or a fact find.
  • Only an adviser can push. The push is restricted to the adviser because they were in the meeting and can spot a misheard figure before it reaches the fact find.

Push the data to Intelliflo

  1. Open the finished report for the client. The Update Intelliflo button is the blue button at the top of the page. It appears only once the report has finished processing, so a short wait is normal.
  2. Click Update Intelliflo. The review screen opens with the proposed changes laid out by section, in the same order as the Intelliflo fact find.
  3. Review each field. A green highlight marks a value that was found in the report and is ready to go across. The existing Intelliflo value is shown alongside, so you can compare before you accept.
  4. Change anything that is wrong. Every proposed field can be edited, skipped or discarded. To keep the original Intelliflo value, edit the field back to it or delete the proposed change before you confirm.
  5. Click Update client details, then Next to confirm the section and move to the following one. Repeat until the last section is confirmed. You can confirm one section, such as expenditure, and leave the rest untouched.

Please note: dates on the review screen display year-first. That is how the review screen shows them, and the date is written to Intelliflo correctly.

Please note: there is no single button to accept every change in a section at once. Each section is confirmed in turn.

What goes across, and what does not

The push covers hard-fact fields: personal details, employment and income, assets, expenditure, address, and health and vulnerability. That is around 80 to 90 fields of the Intelliflo fact find. New assets are proposed as additions, and changed assets as updates.

These do not go across, because Intelliflo does not expose them to the integration or they are free text:

  • Free-text notes, objectives and plans, and income reconciliation.
  • Needs and priorities questions, cash flow and emergency funds, estate position, US person status and meeting details.
  • Client goals and objectives on the client record.
  • Opportunities, service cases and corporate clients.
  • Custom fields your firm has added to its Intelliflo fact find.
  • Generated documents. The meeting note or report itself cannot be saved into the Intelliflo document store, only the fact-find fields. To file the document, save it to SharePoint or download it and upload it to Intelliflo.

Only what made it into the report can be pushed. If a detail is in your source documents but the report does not mention it, add it to the report first, or type it into the fact find and push from there. The same applies to figures in an LOA pack: they reach Intelliflo through the fact find, not from the LOA summary.

No particular wording is needed in the meeting for a fact to be picked up. Evie listens for the information that maps to the fact-find fields, so talk to the client as you normally would.

Joint clients

The push writes to one Intelliflo record at a time. If two people were merged into a single client because only one of them attended the meeting, only that person's data is offered on the review screen.

  1. Add each person from Intelliflo separately, so that each has their own linked record.
  2. Link the two records as a joint client in AdvisoryAI.
  3. Check and correct any fields that were overwritten on the merged record.
  4. Generate the joint report by selecting both clients, then push from the report for each person in turn.

Push for a brand new client

  1. Create the client in Intelliflo first. There is no button in AdvisoryAI to create a client in Intelliflo at the moment, so the record has to exist there before AdvisoryAI can link to it. A blank record with the client's name is enough.
  2. On the Clients page, click Add new client from Intelliflo and search by name or reference.
  3. Create the report for that client, choosing a meeting note or a fact find, and drop in the recording.
  4. Click Update Intelliflo at the top of the finished report and confirm each section as above.

If the Update Intelliflo button never appears

A short delay while the report processes is normal. If the button never shows, check these two things:

  • Your own Intelliflo connection has dropped. Intelliflo expires passwords monthly, which breaks the link. Go to Tools & Settings, then Integrations, and reconnect, then reopen the report.
  • The client is not linked to Intelliflo. Confirm the client was added from Intelliflo and shows the Intelliflo icon. A client created by hand or from a calendar invite needs to be linked first.

If both are in order and the button is still missing, email support@advisoryai.com with the client reference and the report name.

This pushes across roughly 70 data fields, covering personal details, employment and income, assets,

Next steps

  • Refresh the client in AdvisoryAI after a push so the two systems match: on the Clients page, click Update Data from IO.
  • Pushing to Intelliflo's planning or cash flow tools is not part of the integration. Enter those figures in Intelliflo directly.
