Integrating with Microsoft SharePoint
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Many firms already keep their client documents in SharePoint rather than a CRM — often because a client bank predates CRM adoption, or because the firm runs on Microsoft 365 day to day.
This integration means you don't need to migrate anything when using AdvisoryAI. You connect your SharePoint account once, and from there you can save existing documents into the platform, push generated reports and data back out, and enable Atlas to seamlessly analyse your SharePoint documents.
Connecting Your SharePoint Account
Click the cog icon in the bottom left of your screen
Select Integrations
Find SharePoint and click Connect
Sign in with your Microsoft account
If you're already logged into the relevant Microsoft account in your browser, it may connects automatically without asking you to sign in again.
Saving Documents to SharePoint
Once something's generated in AdvisoryAI, you shouldn't have to think twice about where it ends up living. If your firm already works out of SharePoint, a finished report can go straight there rather and be uploaded on SharePoint directly on your AdvisoryAI platform.
Open the report you want to save
Click Save to SharePoint
Choose an existing folder, or create a new one
You can choose whether to save the report as a DOCX or PDF
Click Save
The file appears in your SharePoint account exactly where you saved it on the platform, ready to open, edit, or send on as normal.
Pulling Documents from SharePoint
The reverse works the same way. Rather than downloading a document from SharePoint and re-uploading it to AdvisoryAI, you can attach it directly from within a client's profile.
Go to Clients and open the client's profile
Go to the Documents tab
Click Attach from SharePoint
Select the file you wish to attach
Once pulled, the document is available in AdvisoryAI the same way any other upload would be — usable by Atlas, or ready to use to create a report without needing to upload manually.
Asking Atlas About Your SharePoint Documents
Connecting SharePoint also means Atlas can search and analyse it directly, without every document needing to be pulled into AdvisoryAI first, allowing it to be as effective in supporting you as possible. This means you do not need to manually pull documents from SharePoint into your client profiles before Atlas can read them.
You can ask now Atlas to summarise or extract whatever information you need for a client from a specific document sitting in your SharePoint folders — a fact find, an illustration or anything else.
One use case where this can be particularly useful is when preparing for a meeting.
A lot of what makes a meeting feel personal isn't the numbers — it's the soft facts. That kind of detail often lives in an old transcript or fact find that might be stored in your SharePoint. You can ask Atlas to pull together a pre-meeting brief for a client, and it can draw on those older SharePoint documents alongside everything more recent already in AdvisoryAI to allow you to get the full context of your clients for your meeting.
