Recording a Phone Call for Use with Evie

Overview

If you have a client call over the phone rather than a video platform, you can still generate a meeting note in Evie. The process involves recording the call using your phone's built-in call recording feature, then uploading the audio file to Evie afterwards.

How to Record the Call

Call recording works differently depending on whether you're on an iPhone or Android device.

On iPhone (iOS 18 and above)

Apple introduced native call recording in iOS 18. You can enable and use this directly from the built-in Phone app. See Apple's guide here: Recording calls on iPhone

On Android

Call recording is available through the Google Phone app. See Google's guide here: Recording calls on Android

⚠ We recommend doing a test call before using this with a real client, so you're confident with the process before it matters.

Uploading Your Recording to Evie

Once you have the recording, upload it to Evie to generate your meeting note as normal. Navigate to the Meetings tab and use the upload option to add your audio file.
